Online dating - domain of the sad git or modern way of meeting people?
As I’m currently single with little time to meet anyone I’ve decided to have a go at seeing what happens if I add myself to a dating site and see what happens, I’ve added myself to a free one because paying for for one of these sites does seem a little bit on the pathetic side.
Having browsed a few of the members on there, and I really did take a good luck, I cant help but think I’m on a road to no where. Alot of girls on there who I woulnd’t touch with a barge poll - no looks arnt everything, but come on! - and the girls who are attractive seem to be a little on the chavy side or slutty side for me to be interested.
My first impressions, not so good, but I will stick at it and see if things improve and what results it throws up.
My profile isnt brilliant to be honest, so far I need to find a decent photo of me to add - if such a thing exists -, and I’ve never been too comfortable describing myself especially within this context.
I hope once I’m done I will be able to give the definitive answer as to whether online dating is for losers or just another tool for the singleton - alternatively might be a good way for a no striongs attached fumble under the covers.

About
My name is Nezodon I have a passion for technology and computing, I’m currently studying computing at College and looking to pursue a career into this field.
My hobbies - which I have very little time for at the moment - are playing squash, and martial arts. I’ve studied several styles in my lifetime since the age of ten, although I have spend more time doing kickboxing than any other system but I do enjoy dabbling in unique systems such as capoeira - which is frigging painful the day after - and would love to have a go at Krav maga.
I have a strong interest in politics and more importantly how messed up politics is in my country, the United Kingdom, with the current trend towards a Big Brother state. I despise the the proposed ID card/National database scheme and the proposed national DNA database which changes the current system from being one of innocent until proved guilty to having every citizen of the country as a suspect.
I’m also a spiritual person, I think their is alot of merit in the teaching and principals of the buddhist path, as spiritual as I am I find that the most common organised religions seem only serve to promote bigotry towards those who think differently to the teachings.
Well that is a little about me - all I can be bothered to write at the moment - and I look forward to participating on this site and hopefully getting an understanding as to what people see in blogging.
